Hope Trophy 2009 won by St. LEWIS SECONDARY SCHOOL

The final games of the traditional Andiamo interschool Hope Trophy was played yesterday at Andiamo Ground. The seven schools involved with a total of almost 200 students challenged each other in the athletics games and team games. 

ST. LEWIS SECONDARY SCHOOL won the ANDIAMO HOPE TROPHY 2009 collecting 43 points. Second and third classified are Mohale Accademy and Balaka Secondary School. Andiamo classified 4th and won some of the races: 100 Mt Men and Shot Put Men with Precious Matewere. Andiamo also qualified for the Volleyball final defeating 3 - 0 in the last game against St. Charles Secondary School but bringing 6 important points to Andiamo Education Institutions.

Goal of the Hope Trophy Commetee is to promote athletics among the youths and partecipate soon to the national games with some of the students from Balaka.
